SoCalGas Introduces Updated Employee Uniforms Beginning August 10
New uniforms are part of the company's continued commitment to safety and customer awareness. ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Beginning Monday, August 10, customers throughout Southern California may notice SoCalGas field employees wearing updated uniforms while performing work in their neighborhoods. The new uniforms are part of SoCalGas' ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable natural gas service while making it easier for customers to recognize authorized employees working in their communities. SoCalGas employees regularly perform essential work, including maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service visits to help maintain the safety and reliability of the natural gas system. While some appointments are scheduled with customers, other work may be performed without advance notice as part of routine operations or emergency response. Customers can identify SoCalGas employees by the following: In some instances, SoCalGas utilizes authorized contractors to perform work on its behalf. These contractors may not wear SoCalGas-branded uniforms or drive company vehicles; however, they are required to carry an official identification badge identifying them as authorized to work for SoCalGas. If you are ever unsure whether someone claiming to represent SoCalGas is an authorized employee or contractor, ask to see their identification badge or contact SoCalGas at 1-800-427-2200 to verify their identity before allowing access to your property. Community members and organizations are encouraged to help share this information to increase public awareness of the uniform update and reinforce the importance of verifying employee identification.
