About Us

Homeless Intervention Services of Orange County (HIS-OC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome homelessness and achieve lasting independence. Serving Orange County since 1989, HIS-OC provides transitional housing, housing navigation, outreach services, resource connections, and supportive programs designed to help people move from crisis to stability.

HIS-OC works with families, transitional-aged youth, seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Through compassionate case management, housing assistance, life skills development, and community partnerships, the organization helps participants secure safe housing and build a path toward self-sufficiency.

As a trusted Orange County nonprofit, HIS-OC offers a continuum of care that includes transitional shelter programs, housing transition navigation, homelessness prevention services, and connections to essential resources such as employment support, healthcare, financial literacy, and community services. The organization also operates innovative programs that strengthen housing stability and promote long-term success.

With more than three decades of service, HIS-OC remains committed to restoring hope, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive. Through advocacy, collaboration, volunteer engagement, and donor support, HIS-OC continues to make a meaningful impact across Orange County, California.
