The Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to serve as the Director of Operations to be part of the executive leadership team. This approachable and engaging leader will oversee the day-to-day operations across five Fullerton locations, including a Traditional Clubhouse, Teen Center, and three school-based sites. Director of Operations is responsible for managing the administrative, financial, and programmatic functions of the organization to ensure seamless and effective operations. Additionally, this role will provide strong leadership and guidance to the Club’s staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. With over 70 years of service to the community, the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton remains dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of local youth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the staff and volunteers of the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton, ensuring that they are aligned with the Club's mission, values, and goals
- Manage the daily operations of the Club, ensuring that all programs and services are delivered in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Club's operations
- Manage the budget and financial operations of the Club, including budget development, forecasting, and reporting
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers, ensuring that they are properly trained and supported to deliver high-quality programs and services
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop strategic plans and initiatives that support the Club's mission and goals
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to safety, health, and child protection
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Club programs and services, and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Represent the Club in community events and meetings and build strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Which may lead to working some nights or weekends depending on the program or event
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and innovation
- Provide mentorship and coaching to staff and volunteers, encouraging their professional growth and development
- Generate reports and development plans as needed on personnel, grants, facilities, and general operational functions
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations, the Fullerton School District, The City of Fullerton and volunteer groups.
- Manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, vehicles, and other facilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to lead and motivate staff and volunteers
- Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with Google and Microsoft computer programs
- CPR and First-Aid Certifications are a plus
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000-$90,000 (D.O.E) The salary range provided reflects the entire lifecycle of the position.
