Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is hosting a FREE workshop on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., to help small business owners in Orange County learn about the federal government contracting process and other special programs. This workshop is a great opportunity for businesses to hear directly from representatives of federal government agencies about what it takes to obtain federal government contracts.
Contracting to small businesses is a great way for the federal government to support small businesses in Orange County and across the country. Small businesses provide excellent products and services that are essential for the federal government.
Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will provide an overview of contracting with the federal government, along with topics such as certifications, programs for veteran-owned businesses, and the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program.
In addition, the Orange County Small Business Development Center (OCSBDC) will discuss support services to help businesses become successful in pursuing government contracts.
The workshop will be held at Rancho Santiago Community College District, Boardroom, 2323 N. Broadway Street in Santa Ana, CA.
