Description
This half-day training covers the basics of EnergyPro 7 software when used to document compliance with California Title 24 Energy Standards for residential buildings. It is intended for those with little or no experience with EnergyPro software and will cover basic inputs required to create a model for compliance documentation.
The training assumes basic knowledge with Title 24 and the residential compliance process. If you are not familiar with this process, see the Title 24 2016 Residential Compliance Manual, or attend one of the Title 24 Essentials classes listed at http://energycodeace.com/training .
The Compliance Manual can be downloaded as a PDF from the California Energy Commission at http://www.energy.ca.gov/title24/2016standards/residential_manual.html
In particular, see Chapter 2: Compliance and Enforcement, and Chapter 8: Performance Method. The training includes ‘hands-on’ experience in developing a Title 24 compliance model. Participants should understand basic inputs for modeling common residential building envelope details, electric lighting, and HVAC systems.
Education Credits: 3 AIA learning units.
