The sports technology and active lifestyle business has long been a part of the Southern California economic landscape.  The sector continues to grow and have greater impact on our local economy.  Companies are involved in a wide range of diverse technology areas such as: exercise and rehab equipment; athletic training and conditioning equipment; sports participation equipment, wearable fitness tracking devices; software and telecommunications services to enhance the spectator experience.

OCTANe has added sports technology to its list of industry verticals that it serves through the LaunchPad accelerator process. OCTANe and Sports 1 Marketing are co-producing an event on July 16, 2015 at the Center Club in Costa Mesa, CA that will discuss the state of the sports technology business in Orange County, the kind of investors who are interested in the sector and the entrepreneurial opportunities. There will be panel discussions, presentations from select sports tech start up companies and keynote speeches from leading sports-related personalities talking about sports  and athletic technology issues that are a special focus for them.
