Among the programs Dr. Hovey launched is Project Community CONNECT, whose mission is to provide educational and wellness support to critically at-risk students in the Fullerton community through a leadership group that represents local school districts, community agencies, and service organizations.
“Dr. Hovey has made a significant impact on the Fullerton School District during his tenure as Superintendent,” explained Chamber President, Theresa Harvey. “He has worked with parents and teachers to continually improve the districts performance on standardized tests. I believe his actions really demonstrated his dedication to teaching. His goal of returning to the classroom as part of his final will be fulfilled next year as he heads to Cal Baptist to conclude his teaching career.
