A Class Action: The Grassroots Struggle for Schoole Desegregation in California
Thursday night will be an evening program titled "Memories of Integrated Schools," with Gonzalo Mendez, Jr. and other children of the 1940s desegregation.
Presented by the Museum of Teaching and Learning and the Old Orange County Courthouse
The Class Action exhibit explores the meaning of the landmark court case Mendez et al v. Westminster et al., which brought an end to school segregation int his tate and paved the way for the the decision of Brown v. Board of Education.
