SUMMARY:Water Awareness Poster Contest Submissions Due
DESCRIPTION:The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) announced the 2018 Water Awareness Poster Contest. The Contests provide a wonderful opportunity for children and young adults to learn about the importance of water while using art to express their ideas.\n\n \n\nThrough the Poster contest\, Orange County students in grades Kindergarten through 12 are encouraged to submit hand-drawn posters. All artwork should reflect this year's contest theme: Water is Life. This theme was chosen to get students thinking about our most valuable natural resource   water   and how vital it is for our way of life.  Entries for both contests are due April 14\, 2018. Free paper is available upon request.\n\n \n\nA total of 40 winners will be selected in the Poster Contest. One grand prize winner in grades K - 2nd\, 3rd   5th\, 6th   8th\, and 9th   12th\, will receive an iPad Mini! Additionally\, teachers who submit their students' artwork as a batch will be entered in a drawing for a class pizza party with Ricki the Rambunctious Raindrop!  All 40 winners   and their parents and teachers   will be invited to attend a special Awards Ceremony with Ricki Raindrop at Discovery Science Center. \n\n\n\nFor more information and to view the contest flyer\, click here.
