DESCRIPTION:The Fullerton Chamber of Commerce will be closed on Friday\, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. It will reopen Monday\, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m.\n\n\n\nFullerton City Hall will be closed Friday\, Nov. 11\, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.  It will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday\, Nov. 14.\n\n\n\nThe Fullerton Main Library\, 353 W. Commonwealth Ave.\, and the Hunt Branch Library\, 201 S. Basque Ave.\, will both be closed on the 11th.  \n\nThe Main Library's operating hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday\, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday\, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.\n\nHunt Branch hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays and noon-8 p.m. Thursdays only.\n\nPatrons planning to return books to the Main Library after hours over the holiday are asked to return the books to the Hunt Branch Library instead.  The Main Library's book drop boxes are locked when the library is closed.\n\n\n\nThe administrative offices at Fullerton Municipal Airport will be closed Nov. 11\;  however\, airport operations will proceed as usual\, and the Air Traffic Control Tower will be open that day. \n\n\n\nThe Fullerton Museum Center\, 301 N. Pomona Ave.\, will be open Nov. 11.\n\nOn exhibit at the museum through Nov. 20 is "Frida Kahlo:  Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray\," which spotlights the often tempestuous and always colorful celebrated Mexican artist Kahlo as depicted in photos taken by Muray through the course of their 10-year love affair.\n\nMuray\, renowned for his pioneering work in color portrait photography\, began photographing Kahlo in 1931.  Those images\, on display in the exhibit\, reveal not only the work of a master photographer\, but the passion of an extraordinary love story.\n\nMG Disposal Systems\, the city's trash contractor\, will not observe the holiday\, and will make trash collections on the 11th.\n\n\n\nThe 24th Annual Fullerton Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will be held Nov. 11.  The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Downtown Plaza\, located on Wilshire Avenue\, east of Harbor Boulevard and adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center\, and end at Hillcrest Park at the intersection of Harbor and Valley View Drive.\n\nOnce at Hillcrest\, a ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the veterans' memorials.  Guest speaker will be Clinton J. Reiss\, regimental command sergeant major for the 11th Armored Cavalry Regimentat Ft. Irwin.\n\nAll veterans are welcome to join in the parade.  Participants are asked to arrive at the plaza no earlier than 10 a.m.  To participate\, veterans must be able to march in regular cadence for approximately three-quarters of a mile.\n\nNo banners other than the flags carried by the JROTC units will be allowed in the parade.\n\nThe parade and ceremony are sponsored by Fullerton American Legion Post 142 and the Fullerton Emblem Club 469. \n\n\n\nFurther information may be obtained by calling the Fullerton American Legion at (714) 871-2412.
