DESCRIPTION:The "Buddhist Circuit\," the life path followed by the Lord Buddha\, will be the destination Tuesday\, Nov. 8\, when the Fullerton Public Library's popular "Town and Gown International" series presents "Travels on the Buddhist Circuit in Nepal\, India and Tibet."\n\n\n\nGuest speaker will be Dr. Ken Walicki\, professor of music at California State University\, Fullerton.\n\n\n\nThe "Buddhist Circuit" encompasses the four sites sacred to Buddhism:  Lumbini\, Nepal\, where the Lord Buddha was born\;  Bodhgaya\, India\, where he found enlightenment\;  Sarnath\, India\, where he preached his first sermons\;  and Kushinagar\, India\, where he died.\n\nFor the program\, Walicki will share his adventures on the Circuit in India and Nepal this past summer.  He will also share his experiences traveling throughout Tibet\, including on one of the great overland road trips in the world   Kathmandu to Lhassa.\n\n\n\nAll lectures in the "Town and Gown" series are presented at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Fullerton Main Library. \n\n\n\nPersons requiring special accommodations to attend the Walicki lecture are asked to notify the library staff prior to Nov. 8.\n\n\n\nThe "Town and Gown" series is co-sponsored by California State University\, Fullerton.
