DESCRIPTION:"Frida\," a film depicting the lives and loves of colorful and celebrated Mexican artist Frida Kahlo\, will be the subject of a special screening presented by the Fullerton Museum Center Saturday\, Oct. 22.\n\n\n\nThe film\, which will be shown at 7:30 p.m.\, is being presented by the Museum Center in conjunction with its exhibit\, "Frida Kahlo:  Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray\," which traces Kahlo's 10-year affair with renowned photographer Nickolas Muray. \n\n\n\nMuray's images of Kahlo\, on display in the exhibit\, reveal not only the work of a master photographer\, but the passion of an extraordinary love story.\n\n\n\n Starring Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina\, the lavishly filmed "Frida" chronicles Kahlo's often stormy relationship with her husband\, famed Mexican muralist Diego Rivera.  It also depicts her as a political\, artistic\, and sexual revolutionary whose controversial affair with Leon Trotsky thrust her into the spotlight.\n\n\n\nThe 2002 film also stars Antonio Banderas\, Edward Norton\, Ashley Judd\, Geoffrey Rush and Roger Rees.\n\nThe film is R-rated\, and children 17 and under will not be admitted without a parent or guardian.\n\n\n\nAdmission to the screening is $8 for members of the Fullerton Museum Center and $10 for the general public.\n\nDue to limited seating\, pre-registration is required and may be made by calling the museum at (714) 738-6545.\n\nThe Fullerton Museum Center is located at 301 N.
