DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Fullerton Public Library will hold a going out of business sale sort of.\n\n\n\nWith the opening of the new expanded Fullerton Main Library\, the Friends will have their own used bookstore space inside the library.  This means the Friends will need to clear the stock in the building at 401 W. Commonwealth Ave.\, which they have been renting as a bookstore for more than a year.\n\n\n\nAnd all this will add up to a giant week-long clearance sale Aug. 22-27 featuring thousands of used books and magazines.\n\n\n\nBooks will be arranged in categories on tables and shelves throughout the six rooms of the rented building.  Categories will include fiction\, academic\, history\, religion\, technology\, children's literature and art.\n\n\n\nBook sale hours will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 22\, 24 and 26\;  noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 23 and 25\;  and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 27.  Special discounts ranging from 20-50 percent off will be offered throughout the sale\, and all items will be $2 a bag on Aug. 27.  \n\nA special pre-sale for members of the Friends only will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 20.\n\n\n\nProceeds from the sales will be used to support library programs.\n\n\n\nFurther information may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Public Library at (714) 738-6326.\n\nPersons requiring special accommodations to participate in the sale are asked to notify the library staff prior to the sale dates.
